This is Sterling Silver stamped 925 clasp, for a necklace or bracelet with two or more rows of beads.

You pull the top away from the bottom vertically and inside there is a piece of sprung steel making hard to open and come apart- a push fit. If any snagging were to occur say on a bracelet it is pulling in the opposite direction to the clasp opening and closing. 

Size:- 16mm tall, tube is 4mm diameter, .5mm thick. The jump rings at both sides make it 10.5mm wide. The jump rings are 3.5mm external diameter, .74mm diameter wire with a hole of 2mm diameter.
