The metal is sterling silver  which has been gold plated, the English term for this is silver gilt, in the USA it is called vermeil.

Jump rings with a shiny  or semi matt finish. 

Size Open Semi Mat approx:- 4mm outer diameter,  .75mm thick wire. 

Size Closed Shiny approx:- 4.8- 5.3mm outer diameter,  1mm thick wire. These are variable in size but the metal is thicker therefore stronger.
